me being me, my social calender is flooded!!! haha.. i'm exaggerating lah. all tis activities r backdated n here r the pics i hv been owing for the longest time ever (the whole of sept come to tink of it). sorry sorry..

had a long lunch break so we had a slow pizza hut lunch followed by crapping n playing games in the clubhouse to occupy the time before gems.. sorta got carried away which made sk n me late for effective speaking skills. if we had tot the tutor's dressing was weird enough (i dun wanna name her coz she looks like the type tt will randomly surf blogs), she actually took photos of all latecomers for some reason. oh man. :( anyway, the lesson redeemed itself by being pretty fun with voice recording n all.

spent today with mommy to prevent myself frm tinking too much.. a yr ago, someone made me really happy on tis date. a yr later, alot hv changed but i'm not gonna mope around n prevent myself frm being or least trying to be happy. one consolation though, he didn't forget our special day. hahaha.
mommy bought me dinner at tis cute little chinese restaurant at great world city n i reciprocated with a dessert treat of my fav indulgence...
CHEESECAKE!! n its no ordinary cheesecake! tis shop was recommended in cleo wor.

see, mommy looks pleased.. cheesecake can sure brighten up everyone's day.. haha.. anyway, i'm sooo gonna go back there n try their other flavours.. *licks lips*
well, since i'm on the topic of my mommy, i wanna say a big thank you to tis wonderful woman who not only gave me life but was ever ready to lend a hug or a listening ear whenever i feel down in the dumps. esp recently when thoughts of someone hit me rather badly n i didn't noe who to call. instead of criticizing, she watched me cry n even supported my attempts to establish contact with him. she didn't get bored when i kept rambling on the same topics again n again n she even told me in the most serious voice tt love does still exist in tis world whether i believed it anot n tt i shld remain true to my own heart.
she shows her care on a more physical lvl too. being a v western-oriented person, i love bread products way more than rice or noodles..
so she takes me to try crepes at delectable bakeries..
n even takes up baking classes..
my contented siblings with mommy's creations...
while playing babysitter to me n chef to the family, she is still a super career woman. my inspiration. i love my mommy a whole lot more than u can ever imagine. =)
the most expensive cupcakes i hv ever eaten.. they r frm the luxurious da paolo group. did i mention i hv to order my bdae cake on my own? sad case. hehe.. i made up for it by getting the chef of gastromania da paolo to custom-make one out of nutella n strawberries specially for me n they r so bigshot tt they wun even tell me the price of the cake beforehand. kinda scared mommy there. lalala~
pretty pretty cupcakes.. in fact, they r sooo pretty tt they r called fairy cakes. *squeals*

celebrated ting ting's 19th bdae with the girlies.. due to academic commitments, only cher, lynn n myself turned up.. oh wells, i'm sure the bdae girl understands.
girls just totally love to camwhore! anytime, anywhere.. hehehe. =D
decided to blow up tt last pic to show cher acting cute as usual.. haha. her left false eyelash is falling off le.
dinner was japanese food in the clarke quay area.. to be more precise, it was waraku at centro. ting's fav is the marina sq branch but i suppose tis branch isn't all tt bad either. though i still kinda find the katong one more authentic. =)
the restaurant had nice, big windows with a fabulous view of riverside pt n all the other eateries tt line the s'pore river...

as the restaurant was horribly packed, we only got our seats at nearly 9pm.. thereafter, we still had to crack our hungry brains, scanning tempting pics on the menu, trying hard to decide. no wonder cher looks like she is abt to fall asleep.. =P
ting's waraku reimen.. its actually cold noodles with sesame sauce.
cher ordered the same thing as ting but she couldn't wait to start eating...
lynn's gyu yanagawa wazen. its actually beef hotplate with egg.. her portion was HUGE!! dun underestimate her small size wor...
my chige nabe.. sliced pork steamboat. its superb with thinly sliced lean pork n is totally not sinful coz i didn't order any rice or udon noodles to come with it. haha.
of course no dinner wld be complete w/o side dishes.. the puri ebi guratan is fresh prawns cooked in an entire pot of cheese. the melted cheese is juz plain heavely! the dashimaki was ordered bcoz the bdae girl had an egg craving... such a pity it wasn't the sweet tamago type.
aft we were all bloated with food, the cake had to arrive. but its pretty hur? frm lynn's wrkplace, nectarie. it came in a nice box with big ribbons too! anyway, tis choc mousse cake had alcohol in it so the choc wld not taste jelat aft awhile.. =)

aft dinner, we had a walk around clarke quay where we saw pretty lanterns.. =)
n unlike normal ppl, we dun go to MOS juz simply bcoz we r at clarke quay. instead, we rushed for the last train to get ourselves to habourfront's st james. climbing barriers n rushing down escalators not only makes make-up melt, it is the epitome of unglamness! but still, we got some male attn at st james so it was pretty cool. haha.. i v suaku de, nv get picked up at a club before. haha.

mid-autumn festival!! haha.. more commonly referred to as lantern festival or moon-cake eating day (according to me). anyway, to celebrate tis occasion, we did not do the our usual lantern carrying n sparkler playing around the condo. instead, we juz simply drank tea n ate mooncakes around the dining table. we didn't even admire the moon frm my mosquito-infested garden. lol. tis is a sign tt we hv all grown up. =(
mommy says tis yr is the last yr we r gonna hv branded mooncakes. haiz.. the raffles the plaza snowskin mooncakes r actually chocolate flavoured with fancy alcohol trimmings. of course its not the vodka variety but more of champagne n baileys. yum. goodwood is famous for its durian so i can't pass tis yr w/o my must-have mooncake rite?
sheraton towers is not a v deluxe hotel but it is hm to the famous li bai chinese restaurant tt makes mooncakes with crusts so super thin it practically melts in ur mouth. the lotus paste is also of the highest grade according to reviews.
though i kept drinking chinese tea in a feeble attempt to wash away all the mooncake calories i hv consumed, i did put on a few decent kilos which is not a v gd thing. *sulks*

family gathering at the mushroom pot at serangoon gardens.. its an organic restaurant for aunt clara's sake. n its great for my diet too! haha.. today was the first time i saw aunt clara aft she started chemotherapy for her cancer cells n she still looks as radiant as she used to be. in fact, i heard frm mommy tt she was brave enough to shave her own head before treatment begun. tis is wat i call a strong woman n i'm really proud to hv her as an aunt.

my exceptionally clever cousins n my equally bright sister sure makes me feel inferior during dinner conversations.. *wails*
alisa n trixie with their fried mushroom chips.. its not oily n perfectly crisp leh.
mushroom sashimi served cold with wasabi. delicious!
the chef was skilful enough to slice the pork so thinly tt it curls on its own.. u can tell its a gd cut of meat as the fats r firm n evenly spread-out.. tis pork gets cooked in 15 secs too!

celebrated anna's bdae at costa sands chalet.. there we met a drunkard who took delight in accusing me of wanting to wrk for the govt. like since when lor?! n it was pretty cool tt the neighbouring chalet was having an ah gua (transvestite) show.. haha. had to hide all the little kids indoors to prevent them frm being scarred for life. lol. but the ah guas were quite pretty which makes me grossed out..

finally, a decent entry.. but before i leave to go to slumberland, i'm gonna make ur jealous one more time. haha..
firstly, for having a really attractive darling..
secondly, uncle jason went to belgium n brought back the most extravagant n prestigious chocs in the world!!!!!!!!!! haiz, there goes my diet. at least tis calories r worthwhile. lol.
it even comes with a whole book on wat goes into each n every choc!
the actual chocs itself.. i hv 3 trays of them. heeeee.
